The GLObal engagement summit 2016

The Global Engagement Summit was conceptualized 11 years ago as a tool to help social-change driven students actualize their ideas to better their communities. Over the past decade it evolved to attract student leaders from around the globe, and warranted a professional image.

As a 2016 Marketing Director, I collaborated with two others to develop a theme that not only encapsulated the global reach and impact of the organization, but that would exemplify the quality of the resources and support that the year's conference promised to deliver.

As a 2016 initiative, we strove to differentiate the organization itself, "GES" from the conference we hosted in the spring, "the Summit." We decided to identify the year leading up to the social change conference as an adventure, like a climb that would eventually lead you to the top.

The concept gave life to the mountain visual, which became the cornerstone for the rest of the year's designs. Our programs, advertisements, merchandise and website all evolved to reflect the travel theme, containing simplified geographical features and recognizable navigation symbols such as the pin and direction lines.
